Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi recently made an appearance on the hit television programme Had Kar Di, where he revealed endearing stories about his encounters with Indian superstars Salman Khan and Aamir Khan.

Shahid said that his affiliation with Salman was designed to serve as a testament to his conviction in the power of leveraging celebrity influence to transcend boundaries when the host showed a picture of him and Salman and inquired what the reason behind it.

In a moment of defeat for the Pakistan cricket team, he recalled his first meeting with renowned Indian movie star Aamir. “I entered the room after our World Cup semi-final loss in 2011, and [Aamir] approached me there. We had never met before. He arrived, seated, and we briefly conversed. He commended the work we did. We got to know each other,” Shahid said. When they set off on a spiritual adventure together, their friendship grew stronger.
