The latest key visual for the TV anime Mato Seihei No Slave, or Chained Soldier has just been unveiled, building up excitement for its upcoming release. The anime, based on the manga that’s been captivating readers on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ online platform since January 2019, is set to premier in January 2024.

Chained Soldier, also known in Japanese as Mato Seihei no Slave, is a compelling fantasy ecchi Japanese manga penned by Takahiro and brought to life through the artistry of Yohei Takemura. The series has graced the pages of Shueisha’s Shonen Jump online platform since its debut in January 2019. 

On November 19, 2021, news broke that the series would receive an anime television adaptation by Seven Arcs. The head of the project features Gorō Kuji as the director, with Junji Nishimura assuming the role of general director. Yasuhiro Nakanishi leads the series composition, and scripting duties are expertly handled by Ryota Kanō and Akira Kindaichi. Character designs are the brainchild of Hiroyuki Yoshii, while the captivating musical score is crafted by Kohta Yamamoto. Initially slated for a 2023 release, it was later rescheduled and is now set to debut in January 2024.The opening theme is set to be performed by Akari Kitō, and the ending theme will be brought to life by Maaya Uchida.

In Mato Seihei no Slave, the stage is set in Mato, an alternate world where mystical creatures known as Shuuki and enchanted peaches residences. These peaches, consumed only by women, bestow exclusive powers. The plot unfolds around Yuki Wakura, a high schooler yearning for a platform to shine, and the mystical peaches. Their paths intertwine, presenting an enthralling encounter with Kyoka Uzen, the leader of the Seven Programs in the “Magic Squad,” an association of empowered women. Brace for a fantastical adventure as Yuki, bound as a slave, confronts repulsive demons, leveraging Kyoka’s extraordinary powers.

Chained Soldier – Mato Seihei no Slave anime series of 2024, features interesting characters. First is Yuuki Wakura, voiced by Yūya Hirose. Then, we have Kyouka Uzen, portrayed by Akari Kitō. Himari Azuma is another key character, her voice given by Yume Miyamoto. Shushu Suruga is another member, brought to life by Mari Hino. Nei Ōkawamura, voiced by Hina Tachibana, also plays a significant role. Additionally, we encounter Tenka Izumo, portrayed by Maaya Uchida, and Yachiho Azuma, whose voice is lent by Nene Hieda.
