Coldplay Concert and Festival Schedule in 2024

Coldplay is still touring this year, and they are ready to tour the European and United Kingdom again for next year, 2024.

Coldplay has established the band as a timeless and revolutionary force in the ever-evolving music business. Coldplay’s journey has been one of steady change, pushing the boundaries of their sound and finding success along the way. Coldplay is led by the charismatic vocalist Chris Martin.

Coldplay was founded in London in 1996, and before releasing their debut album “Parachutes” in 2000, they first acquired popularity on the local club scene. With its ambient soundscapes and Martin’s passionate vocals, the band’s hit track “Yellow” exposed the world to its distinctive sound. Coldplay established a loyal fan following and received critical praise with “Parachutes,” paving the way for even more success.

Coldplay issued a string of timeless records in the following years, each distinguished by a distinct musical style. A more sophisticated and intricate method was demonstrated in “A Rush of Blood to the Head” (2002), which produced successes like “Clocks” and “The Scientist.”

Coldplay‘s desire to explore their sound was made clear as the 2000s went on with the release of “X&Y” (2005) and “Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends” (2008). In addition to dominating global charts, it also brought them their first Grammy Award for Album of the Year.

In the 2010s, Coldplay continued to develop their sound since they were never ones to rest on their laurels. The pop-infused films “Ghost Stories” (2014) and “Mylo Xyloto” (2011) demonstrated a direction that focused more on themes of love and sorrow. They also adopted increasingly daring and eye-catching stage productions while performing live, improving their image as a must-see live act.

The 2015 release of “A Head Full of Dreams” and the accompanying documentary movie confirmed Coldplay‘s place among the world’s most popular bands.

The band remained an influence in the music business as the 2020s progressed, and their albums “Everyday Life” (2019) and “Music of the Spheres” (2021) furthered their growth.

Also, Coldplay’s discography, including nine albums, six live albums, eleven compilations, four video albums, and 18 extended performances, containing 41 singles and 13 promotional singles, were also published by Coldplay. They also released 64 videos and four singles with charitable earnings. Their first eight albums, according to Parlophone, have sold more than 100 million copies worldwide as of May 2021. They are among the best-selling music bands and the most well-liked group of the twenty-first century.

Coldplay 2024 European tour dates

Coldplay now scheduled a new run of European concerts for June, July, and August 2024 in response to the feedback they have received from fans during their current series of live performances.

Coldplay kick-off the European leg of their Music of the Spheres Tour on July 20 with a gig in Amsterdam. The band will travel to Greece, Romania, and Finland for the freshly added performances.

Tickets for the 2024 European gigs will go on sale this Friday (July 28). Coldplay’s European Tour 2024 begins on June 8, 2024, at Olympic Stadium in Athens and concludes on August 30, 2024, at Croke Park in Dublin. For 2024, UK concert dates will be announced soon.

Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres Tour is a huge success, with about 7.5 million tickets sold worldwide, according to Billboard.

There is also a press statement for fighting against climate change:

“When we first announced the Music Of The Spheres Tour, we hoped to make it as environmentally beneficial as possible and reduce our direct carbon emissions by 50%. We would like to share how it’s been going; some things work, and some things need improving.”

Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin talked about the 2023 and 2024 tour:

“A focus on sustainability and inclusivity. The songs performed here see the band strip things back, injecting the larger-than-life show with a moment of closeness. There’s a poignant version of ‘Parachute’ track ‘Sparks’, which is followed by special guests joining the band on stage.

It’s a joyful spectacle; a masterclass in how a massive pop show can be done. The band seem genuinely thrilled at the reaction, too.

For everything you’ve done for LGBTQ. Everything you’ve done for fashion and eyewear. Everything you’ve done for sexiness, love, and dressing gowns. Everything you’ve done for music, everything Bernie has done for lyrics, everything your band has done over the thousands of shows you’ve done. We love you so much. Happy retirement and we are [Coldplay] going to miss you so much.”
