Cattle Decapitation – Terrasite

Terrasite Album Cover

Release Date:  May 12 – Label: Metal Blade Records

Cattle Decapitation release a new album “Terrasite” on May 12th, 2023. They achieved the pinnacle of this with 2019’s Death Atlas, maybe causing some to feel they had nowhere else to go after such an accomplishment. However, they are back with Terrasite, which is their most audacious statement to date.

Cattle Decapitation’s vocalist Josh Elmore also shares his thoughts about the new album:

“I wanted to do the 180° opposite of Death Atlas. I already had the concept idea from years back and since Death Atlas was so dark and brooding, I wanted a completely opposite effect – I wanted this to take place in the daylight. I’ve always found daytime horror to be really unsettling so I wanted to make sure what was going on on the cover took place in the light of day, which also finds its place within the lyrics.”

Cattle Decapitation – “Terrasite” tracklist:

  1. Terrasitic adaptation – 5:01
  2. We eat our young – 3:55
  3. Scourge of the offspring – 4:28

DevilDriver – Dealing With Demons Vol. II

Dealing With Demons Vol. II album cover

Release Date:  May 12 – Label: Napalm Records

Dealing With Demons I, the first half of DevilDriver‘s two-part Dealing With Demons tale, was well-praised by influential publications worldwide.

This will be seen as a turning point in the DevilDriver tale if the second half of this enormous undertaking matches the first. And now Dealing With Demons Vol. II, DevilDriver‘s tenth full-length album.

Dealing With Demons Vol. II, which Steve Evetts produced and engineered with extra engineering help from guitarist Mike Spreitzer, is unquestionably stronger and mercilessly harsher than its predecessor.

Combating Demons Vol. II is not only the more brutal of the two albums; it also symbolizes the deepest parts of the legendary leader Dez Fafara’s mind and the ultimate exorcism of the demons that have long plagued the band’s music.
