Metallica Starts Off Jimmy Kimmel Live! Residency Performances

Last night, Metallica kicked off their Jimmy Kimmel Live! residency with new album performances, reminding us all why they are one of the long-lasting and influential bands in heavy metal history.

Taking the inside stage at Jimmy Kimmel‘s famous venue, the band launched into a high-octane set featuring classic hits such as “Lux Æterna,” “Holier Than Thou,” and as well as newer tracks from their latest album “72 Seasons.”

They shared this on social media with this statement:

“In a first for Jimmy Kimmel Live! show, it’s ‘Metallica Week,’ as we will be the musical guest each night, beginning on Monday, April 10, through Thursday, April 13.

We’ll [Metallica] be playing live for all four shows, and you’ll also catch us on the couch, chatting with Jimmy one night. Keep your eyes peeled for other sightings during the broadcast, as we really don’t know what else Jimmy will get us involved in!”

The energy was real as the band members worked their way through each song with precision and passion, proving that their live performances are as electrifying as ever. Frontman James Hetfield’s vocals were on point, while lead guitarist Kirk Hammett’s solos were nothing short of awe-inspiring.

Formed in Los Angeles in 1981, Metallica has been at the forefront of the heavy metal scene for over four decades. With over 125 million records sold worldwide, the band is one of the most successful and influential in the history of rock music. Their sound, which is characterized by fast tempos, heavy riffs, and complex song structures, has inspired countless bands and artists around the world.
