Metallica‘s frontman James Hetfield stars in the western thriller movie “The Thicket” for Tubi. The Thicket is a dark western thriller inspired by Joe R. Lansdale’s book of the same title as well. It stars and is produced by Game of Thrones alumnus Peter Dinklage. Calgary in Canada is the location of the production.

The synopsis of this movie follows a kidnapping story in West Texas. When Cut Throat Bill (Lewis) kidnaps a girl, her brother engages Reginald Jones (Dinklage), a bounty hunter, to find the girl. He quickly finds himself in charge of a band of outcasts who travel with him. The brother is portrayed by Leon Hawke (The Crowded Room), and the sister is portrayed by Esmé Creed-Miles (Hanna). The Thicket, a book by Joe R. Lansdale, was also chosen by the Library Journal as one of the best works of historical fiction the year it was published, in 2013.

James Hetfield starred in the Netflix film “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile” a few years ago in 2019. In that movie, Lily Collins played Ted Bundy’s longstanding lover, who at the time was unaware of the crimes, and was played by Zac Efron, who was a prominent serial killer. Officer Bob Hayward was played by Hetfield.
