All Rock and Metal Albums Release in October 2022

Lamb of God – ‘Omens’

Release Date: October 7 – Label: Epic

Lamb of God will release “Omens” two years after their debut self-titled album on October 7th, 2022. Without longtime drummer Chris Adler, it is the first Lamb of God album. Drummer Arturo “Art” Cruz from Winds of Plague takes his spot.

Lamb of God‘s frontman Randy Blythe also commented about the upcoming and new album: “I think a lot of the messes human beings find ourselves in could be very easily prevented simply by paying attention to obvious repeating patterns, both in our personal lives and in a broader socio-historical context. What some call ‘omens’ are really just manifestations of the fact that there is nothing new under the sun. It’s foolish to ignore this, but we all do it.”

‘Omens’ tracklist:

  1. Nevermore
  2. Vanishing
  3. To The Grave
  4. Ditch
  5. Omens
  6. Gomorrah

Red Hot Chili Peppers – ‘Return of the Dream Canteen’

Release Date: October 14 – Label: Warner

Red Hot Chili Peppers band’s thirteenth studio album, “Return of the Dream Canteen“, is going to release on October 14, 2022, through Warner Records as a double LP and a single CD.

It was recorded at the same sessions as the band’s prior studio album, Unlimited Love, which was released earlier in 2022 and also produced by Rick Rubin.

Here is the press statement of RHCP:

“We went in search of ourselves as the band that we have somehow always been. Just for the fun of it we jammed and learned some old songs. Before long we started the mysterious process of building new songs. A beautiful bit of chemistry meddling that had befriended us hundreds of times along the way. Once we found that slip stream of sound and vision, we just kept mining.

With time turned into an elastic waist band of oversized underwear, we had no reason to stop writing and rocking. It felt like a dream. When all was said and done, our moody love for each other and the magic of music had gifted us with more songs than we knew what to do with.

Well we figured it out. 2 double albums released back to back. The second of which is easily as meaningful as the first or should that be reversed. ‘Return of the Dream Canteen’ is everything we are and ever dreamed of being. It’s packed.

Made with the blood of our hearts, yours truly,

the Red Hot Chili Peppers.”

‘Return of the Dream Canteen’ tracklist:

  14. “La La La La La La La La”

  17.  “In The Snow.”

Release Date: October 21 – Label: Domino

Arctic Monkeys will release their seventh album ‘The Car‘ on October 21st, 2022 via Domino Records.

Alex Turner also commented about Arctic Monkeys band’s upcoming album:

“On this record, sci-fi is off the table. We are back to earth. I think we’ve got closer to a better version of a more dynamic overall sound with this record. The strings on this record come in and out of focus and that was a deliberate move and hopefully everything has its own space. There’s time the band comes to the front and then the strings come to the front.

You have to follow your instincts in the same way you did in the first place. It’s a response I’ve had to other things we’ve composed. This idea of something sounding ‘cinematic’. I never completely subscribe to it, but it’s louder this time.”

‘The Car’ tracklist:

  1. There’d Better Be a Mirrorball
  2. I Ain’t Quite Where I Think I Am
