Viewers of BGT believe they have deciphered the identity of the Mr Blobby performer that infuriated Simon Cowell.

Fans of Britain's Got Talent believe they have unraveled the mystery behind the performer portraying Mr Blobby, whose act left Simon Cowell extremely enraged.
Originally introduced on Noel Edmonds' Saturday night program, Noel's House Party, during the 1990s, this renowned character became an iconic figure on British television, for both positive and negative reasons.

Following the conclusion of the show in 1999, Mr Blobby embarked on a solo career of his own.

Last night, Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli were back in action on BGT as the iconic Mr Blobby character took to the stage.
Initiating the act, the clumsy pink creature commenced by distributing oversized playing cards to the judging panel.

While the judges appeared to be entertained by the performance thus far, they had no inkling of what was about to unfold.

In an unfortunate turn of events, Mr Blobby inadvertently activated a buzzer while attempting a hat trick. This prompted him to invite Cowell onto the stage for a 'special magic trick'.

After some hesitation, the 63-year-old reluctantly joined Mr Blobby onstage and found himself enclosed within a box, as Blobby endeavored to make him vanish.

However, moments later, Cowell found himself drenched in vibrant pink slime, much to the delight of the audience.

While the former X-Factor judge was left fuming with anger, viewers watching from home were left speculating about the person concealed within the costume.

And one particular celebrity occupied the thoughts of everyone.
One fan made an assumption, stating, "It's definitely David Walliams as Mr Blobby #BGT2023 #BritainsGotTalent."

A second fan contributed, "Could Mr Blobby be David Walliams in disguise? #bgt #bgt2023 #BritainsGotTalent."

A third fan concurred, saying, "I'm willing to bet that Mr Blobby on @BGT is @davidwalliams #BGT #BritainsGotTalent."

A fourth fan commented, "'Now take off your Mr Blobby head and reveal yourself, David Walliams' #BGT."

Another fan added, "That Blobby costume has @davidwalliams written all over it. #BGT."

Regrettably, Mr Blobby did not advance to the next round and failed to receive a single 'yes'.

We believed it was deserving of the 'golden buzzer' recognition, at the very least.

Last month, Cowell discussed the circumstances surrounding David Walliams' departure from his role as a judge on BGT.

Late last year, it was announced that the actor and comedian would be stepping down after serving on the show for a decade, with the show stating at the time that his return was uncertain.

Walliams offered an apology after leaked audio recordings of him making derogatory remarks about Britain's Got Talent contestants were released to the public.
According to The Sun, Cowell revealed that Walliams had generally been "very respectful and emotional" towards the contestants on the talent show, and while it was distressing to learn about the comments made, Cowell was confident that it was not a regular occurrence.

"I didn't really play a role in the decision. As far as I know, he chose to step back," Cowell stated.

"It all happened quite quickly. I was on vacation, and then suddenly I'm having discussions about who will replace him.

"We did tell the two producers, 'You have to make the final decision' because, although I am an executive producer, they are more involved in the day-to-day operations.

"Of course, everyone had a say - the network, the producers at Fremantle. We all agreed at the time that these remarks were completely unacceptable. I hadn't heard them before, and yes, it was upsetting. But from my perspective, it wasn't something that was happening regularly."
