Recently, though, he appeared to have experienced just that while performing at a show in Chicago, which saw him get hit in the groin area by a bottle a fan had thrown from the crowd.

As soon as the bottle made contact, the hitmaker - who had just been belting out his song 'As It Was' - immediately doubled over in pain while he reached down and placed his hand on his crotch.
"Well, that's unfortunate," he said into the mic, still looking down.
The 28-year-old former One Direction singer proceeded to tell the audience that he would "shake it off".
Needless to say, footage of the incident resulted in an outpouring of sympathy for the British musician.
One person wrote: "Should never happen but couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. Lol."

This certainly wasn't the first time Styles has had something thrown at him mid-concert.
At a New York show in August, he was pelted with chicken nuggets, with concert-goers chanting: “Eat it! Eat it!”

To those chanting, he said: "First of all, this is cold, and I'm assuming very old."
“I don’t eat chicken. Sorry,” he went on to say. “I don’t eat meat.”
He then proceeded to toss one of the nuggets back into the crowd.
“There you go, you can have your nugget back,” he said.
