Louisiana Nun, 83, Found After Allegedly Being Kidnapped By 10 Men In Yalgo, Burkina Faso

Marianite Sister Suellen Tennyson has been found five months after she disappeared while serving a mission at a convent in Yalgo, Burkina Faso, Africa. Sister Suellen was kidnapped after a group of 10 men broke into the convent.
Marianite leader Sister Ann Lacour told the Clarion Herald that she expects Sister Suellen to return to the US soon.

Sister Ann said, "We have spoken to her. She eventually will get back to the United States. She's totally worn out. I told her how much people love her, and she doesn't have anything to worry about. I told her, 'You are alive and safe. That's all that matters.'"

Sister Ann explained what happened on the night of the attack. She said, "There were about 10 men who came during the night while the sisters were sleeping. They destroyed almost everything in the house, shot holes in the new truck and tried to burn it. The house itself is OK, but its contents are ruined."
