The serving Governor of Yobe State Buni engages with former head of state daughter Gen. Sani Abacha in a well decorated place in Federal capital territory Abuja

The wedding took place at the home of the new wife’s brother, Mohammed Abacha, in Abuja.

Buni is the Caretaker National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC); Gumsu is the Daughter of former Head of State Sani Abacha.

The event was attended by notable figures and government officials, including Hameed Ali, the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).

Buni married Ummy, a daughter of his predecessor and incumbent Yobe East Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, shortly after taking office in 2019.

Gumsu, the governor’s fourth wife, is 45 years old. In 2020, her marriage to Cameroonian billionaire Bayero Mohamadou fell apart.
