Based on the 2021 Malayalam film of the same name, Drishyam 2 is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language crime thriller film directed by Abhishek Pathak. It is a follow-up to the 2015 movie Drishyam, which was itself adapted from the 2013 Malayalam film of the same name. It stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta and is set seven years after the events of the first movie. [5][6] In supporting parts, it also has Mrunal Jadhav, Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, and Kamlesh Sawant.
On the evening of October 4, 2014, David Braganza eludes law enforcement after being accused of murder. He observes Vijay leaving the police station while he is hiding behind one that is still being built. Then, after making an attempt to apologise to history wife, he is ultimately jailed.

Production
After the success of Drishyam 2 (2021), the follow-up to the original 2013 Malayalam film Drishyam (2013), which came out in February 2021, the sequel to Drishyam was announced. The choice to have Abhishek Pathak helm the picture was made. Produced by Panorama Studios, the movie is released by Yash Raj Films.
On February 17, 2022, in Mumbai, the remake sequel's principal photography began. Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran participated in a large portion of the Goa-based filming. Akshaye Khanna later joined the sets on April 30, after Tabu did so on April 26. The movie was completed on June 21, 2022, in Hyderabad.

On its first day, Drishyam 2 brought in 15.38 crore at the domestic box office. The movie made 21.59 crore on its second day of release, and 27.17 crore on its third, bringing the domestic weekend total to 64.14 crore. [16] Drishyam 2 held up exceptionally well on Monday, with sales only declining 20% from the previous day's very strong 15.38 crore nett haul. The movie's Monday earnings were in the range of 11.75 crore nett, which is simply outstanding. In the four days since its release, the movie has brought in almost 75 crore nett. Drishyam 2 continued its amazing streak of sales on Tuesday, bringing in 10.50 crore nett. The movie made 85 crore net in its first five days of release.
The movie had made 221.35 crore (US$28 million) as of December 18, 2022 in India. The total gross receipts for India are 263.51 crores, and the abroad gross is 52.74 crores, bringing the total worldwide receipts to 316.25 crore (US$40 million).
