In Episode 5, Fury escorts the President to the hospital and secretly warns him not to trust James Rhodes (Don Cheadle). After Talos’ (Ben Mendelsohn) death, some Skrulls turn against Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir). During their confrontation, Gravik uses his Groot powers to kill a Skrull.

Gravik contacts Rhodes (Skrull) and instructs him to convince the President to initiate an attack on Russia, potentially sparking World War III. As Rhodes is about to speak to the President in the hospital, Fury intervenes and prevents him. However, Rhodes escapes by leaking footage of Fury killing Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders).

While Gravik is taking a break for coffee, the other Skrulls launch an attack on him. Despite the assault, Gravik manages to eliminate them all and escape. Fury encounters G’iah (Emilia Clarke) and shares that her father was a brave warrior even after his death. G’iah expresses her desire to give her father a proper burial.

In an unknown area, Sonya Falsworth (Olivia Colman) discovers Rosa Dalton (Katie Finneran), a Skrull scientist involved in the Harvest project, researching DNA samples. Rhodes speaks to the President, who reveals that the Skrulls are responsible and urges an attack on Russia, risking World War III. G’iah seeks refuge at Priscilla Fury’s home and asks for help in burying her father, Talos. The Skrulls attempt to harm G’iah and Priscilla, but they fight back.
