The Idol Episode 4 Review: Controversial Twists Coming Up

The Idol Episode 4, titled “Stars Belong to the World,” is now streaming on Max. It was a fun episode that accomplished a lot in just one hour. Dyanne (Jennie Ruby Jane) literally stole Jocelyn’s (Lily-Rose Depp) song, and Xander (Troye Sivan) got involved with Tedros (Abel Tesfaye) while Lily’s Jocelyn acted strangely.

Tedros is definitely my favorite character in the show. I now understand why Abel took over John Lennon’s “Jealous Guy.” I could see a bit of myself in this episode, as I used to feel a little jealous before.

Abel’s performance becomes more captivating every time I see it, although I think they are exaggerating Tedros a bit too much. Of course, the best part of The Idol is Jocelyn, although she went somewhat unnoticed in this episode. The soundtrack, especially this particular song, is impressive.

Episode 4 was overall a disappointing experience, as it contained elements of abuse, coarse language, and misogyny that were hard to watch. As viewers, we were subjected to literal torture. The performances in this episode were cringe-worthy and did not meet expectations.

Created by Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, Reza Fahim, and Sam Levinson. The show stars Lily-Rose Depp as Jocelyn and Abel Tesfaye as Tedros as the main leads, alongside Suzanna Son, Troye Sivan, Moses Sumney, Jane Adams, Dan Levy, Jennie Ruby Jane, Eli Roth, Rachel Sennott, Hari Nef, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Mike Dean, Ramsey, and Hank Azaria. It is also confirmed that Alexa Demie will make a cameo as Maddy Perez from “Euphoria.” She will appear as a woman at the club where Jocelyn and Tedros meet.
