Jessica Chastain Will Star As Grace Randolph in Quentin Tarantino’s ‘The Movie Critic’

Academy Award winner Jessica Chastain will star as Grace Randolph in Quentin Tarantino’s ‘The Movie Critic‘. According to reports, this will be his final film, and Tarantino is retiring from Hollywood.

The script is penned by Tarantino himself, and filming will begin this fall. The film’s story is described as being set in late 1970s Los Angeles, with a female lead (Grace Randolph) at its center.

Who Is Grace Randolph?

Grace Randolph is a comic book writer and media presenter who hosts the YouTube channel “Beyond the Trailer.” In 2009, Randolph wrote Muppet Peter Pan, a four-issue comic book mini-series for BOOM! Studios. The following year, she contributed two short stories for the Archaia Fraggle Rock comics: “Party, Doozer Style!” and “Wembley and the Great Dream-Capade!”

Tarantino made his directorial debut with the low-budget film “Reservoir Dogs” in 1992, which became a critical and commercial success. He followed this up with films like “Pulp Fiction,” “Kill Bill,” “Inglourious Basterds,” “Django Unchained,” and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” among others.

Jessica Chastain gained widespread recognition for her role in the 2011 film “The Help,” for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She has since appeared in a number of critically acclaimed films, including “Zero Dark Thirty,” “Interstellar,” “The Martian,” and “Molly’s Game.” Chastain portrayed Tammy Faye Bakker in the biopic The Eyes of Tammy Faye (2021), winning the Academy Award for Best Actress, and Tammy Wynette in the miniseries George & Tammy (2022).
