M.O.D.O.K. is making an appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. In the film, Corey Stoll plays M.O.D.O.K., who is trapped in the Quantum Realm. M.O.D.O.K. will die at the end of the film while battling Jonathan Majors‘ Kang the Conqueror.
How Did Corey Stoll’s Darren Cross Turn Into M.O.D.O.K.?
During the final fight of Ant-Man (2015), Paul Rudd‘s Ant-Man damages the Yellowjacket suit, causing Stoll’s Darren Cross to shrink uncontrollably and everyone believes he was dead, but he immediately departs to the Quantum Realm. Kang’s army mutated Darren Cross into M.O.D.O.K., a mutant, the cybernetically enhanced person with a massive head.
What Happens to M.O.D.O.K. In Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania?
Corey Stoll’s M.O.D.O.K. will die at the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. M.O.D.O.K. was convinced by Scott Lang’s daughter, Cassie Lang, that Kang was tricking him. M.O.D.O.K. then turns on Kang, and they begin fighting; sadly, Kang kills M.O.D.O.K. Scott and Cassie find out the dying M.O.D.O.K. and he talks to Scott and asks for sorry. Then M.O.D.O.K. says that he will die as an “Avenger.”
Will M.O.D.O.K. Appear In Future MCU films?
M.O.D.O.K. died in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. So technically, he won’t appear in future MCU projects. M.O.D.O.K. died as an Avenger at the end of Quantumania.
Yes, M.O.D.O.K. will turn up to be a good person. Cassie Lang, played by Kathryn Newton, will help him in realizing Kang is taking advantage of him.
