Lady Gaga was spotted on the set of “Joker: Folie à Deux,” costumed as Harley Quinn. Filming is currently underway, with an October 4, 2024 release date scheduled. Check out the images below.

Lady Gaga Will Replace Margot Robbie As New Harley Quinn

It is possible that Lady Gaga may take up the role of Harley Quinn in future DCU projects. According to the images from the set, Gaga is a good match for the comic book version of Harley Quinn. If Gaga were to acquire Harley’s personality, Margot Robbie‘s future in the DCU may be complicated.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Robbie told Gaga will do an “amazing job” playing Harley Quinn in “Joker: Folie à Deux.” She told, “I think she’s going to do an amazing job. I’m so excited. All I could have ever hoped for Harley is that she would become one of those characters that, kind of like Batman, or Hamlet, gets handed from actor to actor—everyone gets a go at playing them. So, I feel like it’s just a credit to her as a character that people want to see her in multiple interactions. I’m excited.”

Joker: Folie à Deux is directed by Todd Phillips from a screenplay he co-wrote with Scott Silver. The film stars Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck / Joker, Lady Gaga, Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson, and Catherine Keener.

“Joker: Folie à Deux” will hit theaters on October 4, 2024.
