The series is based on a book of the same name by Taylor Jenkins Reid. The series is presented in a documentary style, which includes background interviews with the band, this is a fictional story that captures the essence of creativity in the erratic, wild world of the 1970s. The series stars Riley Keough as Daisy Jones, Camila Morrone as Camila Dunne, Sam Claflin as Billy Dunne, Suki Waterhouse as Karen Sirko, Nabiyah Be as Simone Jackson, Will Harrison as Graham Dunne, Josh Whitehouse as Eddie Roundtree, Sebastian Chacon as Warren Rhodes, and Tom Wright as Teddy.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, Riley Keough told “I had no idea what it was.” she added, “I didn’t Google it or anything. I didn’t know it was based off a book. I didn’t know if it was a real band or not. All I knew is she goes, ‘it’s called Daisy Jones and the Six, and it’s about a band in the ’70s.’ And in my head, I was like, ‘I know I’m playing Daisy.’ I just knew it. I don’t even know if one script was written, I didn’t know if they liked me, I hadn’t even talked to them at that stage. The only other time I’ve experienced that is when I met my husband and I knew a week in that I’m gonna have kids with him and marry him.”

Daisy Jones & The Six synopsis follows, “a rock band in the 1970s from their rise in the LA music scene to becoming one of the most legendary bands in the world and explores the reason behind their split at the height of their success.”
