In Marvel Comics, The Man-Thing is a large, slow-moving, empathic, humanoid swamp monster. The Man-Thing appeared regularly during The Punisher’s Franken-Castle story arc and became a regular member of Thunderbolts with issue #144.

‘Werewolf by Night’ is now streaming on Disney+. The plot follows a lycanthrope superhero who fights crime using the abilities given to him by a curse brought on by his bloodline. The show stars Gael García Bernal as Jack Russell / Werewolf by Night, Laura Donnelly as Elsa Bloodstone, and Harriet Sansom Harris as Verussa Bloodstone. Read our review.

In an interview with Discussing Film, Director Michael Giacchino told why he uses practical effects for Werewolf by Night, “It’s always fun to watch a CG monster. Yes, absolutely. I get it. I love that as well. But for this, this was such a personal story that I wanted someone real – someone, that when I looked in their eyes, I was looking into the eyes of a human behind that monster. And that was very important for me. Thankfully, Marvel supported that from the very beginning.”
