I always love returning to capture Wedding photography at Wasing Park. This lovingly restored traditional farm hamlet is a truly beautiful and unique wedding venue in a quintessentially English setting, a real favourite with Berkshire wedding photographers.
As soon as you arrive at award winning Wasing Park, you know you’re somewhere special. Don’t be surprised to be greeted by their very friendly herd of red Sussex cattle who are always curious with visitors. Always friendly, it’s like they know they live somewhere truly special.
The Wasing Estate is made up of romantic farm buildings that sit alongside the beautiful 15th century Parish Church of St Nicholas in the heart of beautiful Berkshire countryside. These buildings include the majestic grade II listed Castle Barn, a Granary that sits proudly on saddle stones and a fairy-tale Dovecote, a Victorian Summerhouse and the glass walled Garden Room. All giving me endless stunning backdrops when shooting Wasing Park wedding photography.
The thing I love best about shooting wedding photography at Wasing Park, is that it is a truly unique wedding venue. Miles away from the one size fits all weddings that chain hotels offer, Wasing Park offer exclusive use and create beautiful bespoke weddings for each of their couples in an utterly gorgeous location.

For wedding ceremonies, Wasing Park offer three breath-taking ceremony spaces. I will talk about them now.
For a traditional ceremony you can choose the picturesque parish Church of St Nicholas. This 15th century chapel sits within the heart of the venue and has been the location for generations of worshippers choosing to celebrate the great moments in their lives. The church has a white timber-clad turret that contains a 14th century cast iron bell. It also boasts beautiful stained-glass windows that throw an abundance of light around the chapel that I play with to create even more beautiful wedding photographs of the wedding ceremony. The church can accommodate up to 100 seated guests to watch as you say your wedding vows at your wedding ceremony.
Couples from outside the parish can take their wedding vows and marry in the Wasing Park Church if they fulfil certain qualifying criteria
If you’re dreaming of a romantic outdoor wedding ceremony then you should definitely opt for The Victorian Summerhouse located with the Terrace Gardens. Licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies, the Victorian Summerhouse is embellished with a pretty hand painted mural and makes a dreamy setting for a quintessentially English garden wedding location. The team at Wasing Park will set up their Garden Room ready for you should you need to change your plans last minute because of inclement weather on your wedding day. Outdoor wedding ceremonies are less restrictive on numbers as guests are of course seated outside.
Storytelling wedding photography at Wasing Park
The glass walled Garden Room is also licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies. A light and contemporary building that sits within the pretty walled gardens, it can seat up to 140 guests for your wedding ceremony. The Garden room has walls of glass bi-fold doors allowing the outdoors in, creating a feeling of seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor spaces for the perfect combination for your Wasing Park Wedding photography.
The Garden Room also makes a great location for reception drinks after a wedding in St Nicholas Church or the Victorian Summerhouse.
Wedding receptions held in Grade II listed The Castle Barn are able to accommodate from 50 to 140 seated of your wedding guests for a wedding breakfast and up to 250 guests for an evening wedding reception, it’s a truly versatile space. Whilst its façade is imposing and handsome its interior is much softer in a contemporary style with beautiful oak beams and soft red brick walls filled with arrow slits making it great for documentary Wasing Park Wedding photography
When I shoot wedding photography at Wasing Park, I love seeing The Castle Barn adorned in fairy lights, candles and flowers, creating a truly magical setting for a wedding celebration. A blank canvas that you can leave natural or dress to suit the style and personality of your wedding.
The Castle Barn has glass doors that open out ono a large stretch tent covered terrace allowing you to blend indoor and outdoor spaces all year round. The outdoor kitchen creates great theatre too as evening food can be prepared on the terrace over a fire pit in a wood fired oven. Allowing you to take your party outside to celebrate under the stars.
The Castle Barn has a stage ideal for live wedding bands or a DJ and has wonderful acoustics. So, you have everything you need for an epic wedding party to complete your dream wedding day.

And if all that isn’t enough, I haven’t even got onto accommodation yet. Forget floors and rows of identical hotel rooms, Wasing Park offer truly distinct accommodation for your wedding guests. Their bridal suite has been named in the Top 10 Amazing Bridal Suites from around the world by Hitched. Light, spacious and characterful, this former hayloft incorporates every conceivable luxury and make a photogenic backdrop in those all-important bridal prep images that lets me document the moments as you prepare for your wedding day. It also doubles as a stunning honeymoon suite for your first night as a married couple.
A variety of suites make fantastic accommodation for your guests. The Smithy was formerly the blacksmiths forge, with its original fireplace, this stunning space has been transformed to create the most incredible suite with a striking emperor bed.
The Granary, you guessed it, was originally built to store grain, but has been reimagined as an enchanting suite with tons of character. Perfect for a family of four or a romantic retreat for two.
The Dovecote was once home to hundreds of doves, the original nesting boxes are now filled with fairy lights creating a magical setting.
The Coach House comprises of five elegant, contemporary suites set on two floors with beautifully designed bathrooms and double sofa beds downstairs, these suites make ideal family rooms.
For the rest of your wedding guests there are 17 beautifully-appointed individually designed bedrooms with amazing views of the gardens and grounds.
