Debbie and Peter realized after their brief sexual encounter 20 years ago that they got along better as friends than as lovers. After twenty years, Debbie is a teacher, a mother to Jack, and she wants to widen her horizons by taking some additional classes in Peter’s hometown of New York. Unmarried and wealthy businessman Peter agrees to keep Jack for a week, but as circumstances change, he chooses to go to Los Angeles to take care of the youngster.
