Cape Town Was A Fashion Show Extravaganza

Cape Town Was A Fashion Show Extravaganza

Hacjivah Dayimani, a rugby player, wore clothes that were made from recycled materials at the Cape Met on Saturday. This style was great for both Fashion and the earth.

The Stormers flanker stepped up in a one-of-a-kind outfit made from remade vintage jeans that oozed streetwear style.

Other stars, such as Simphiwe Dana, Zandile The Black Mermaid Ndhlovu, Yaya Mavundla, Siv Ngesi, Gareth Cliff, Leanne Manas, Loyiso and Jennifer Bala, joined the new dad, who had his first child with wife Busi Mthimkhulu three months ago.

It all happened at Kenilworth in Cape Town, which was a melting pot of hot weather, bright sun, hot clothes, and horse racing.

The eco-friendly outfit that Dayimani chose, which comes with a patchwork bag that matches, was made by the Joburg label Kade. The look was made by fashion artist Skyler Kade Williams with 11 pairs of old jeans.

Young people love this new designer’s clothes; famous people like Thebe Magugu, Rich Mnisi, and Una Rams all wear them.

Last year, Tyla, Tembinkosi Ngcukana from Gqeberha: The Empire, and foreign models Denetric and Lebo Malope wore his clothes in SMag’s annual Youth Issue, which got a lot of attention.

Dayimani finished off the look with blue nails and hair. He was on the official list of the best-dressed people at the yearly horse race.

Skyler is not only my partner, but he also has big ideas. When I told him I wanted it to go all the way to my blood and genes, he knew what he had to do.

I’m going with the water and clouds for the nails because I like to dream. “I’m just feeling blue today, Dayimani told Sowetan. “It went with my hair and clothes.

Her big, fashionable Afro hair made her look the most beautiful person of the day. The fashion designer Gavin Rajah and the artist and activist Zanele Muholi worked together on her all-black outfit.

I feel wonderful. My hairdresser is great. Her name is Tumi (Tumelo Mpholo), and her business is called Afro Boutique. She’s been cutting and styling my hair since 2021, so all of my pretty looks are her work, Dana said.

The first black African freediving teacher in South Africa, Ndhlovu, wore an earthy-colored dress by Viviers Studio that looked futuristic and had corsets.

It’s like the dress takes you to another world. We should take care of our valuable resources, which are money and nice things. I’m thrilled to be in Cape Town for my first Met, Ndhlovu said.

When it came to fashion, the Balas were the best-dressed couple. Jennifer’s bright pink dress by Pretoria design house Erre added a splash of colour.

We’re proud of ourselves. She said, The best thing about fashion is how it makes us feel, not how other people feel about us.

“Cape Splendour” was the theme this year. There were fashion shows by Rajah, Maze Collective, Ezokhetho, Sipho Mbuto, Stephen van Eeden, Ephymol, Imprint ZA, and Thula Sindi, among others.

The showcase was fun, and it was lovely to see how people wore the clothes. There were some new things at Imprint, which is always fun, Mzukisi Mbane, founder of Imprint ZA, said
