6 best autotune apps to automatically adjust your voice

Not everyone has a perfect Pitch. Even vocalists who have made millions of dollars in sales! Luckily, there is an autotuner that softens off-key notes. The good news is that you have access to this almost magical technology. This is the best autotune app to automatically tune your (already beautiful) voice at home.

We tested some of the best autotune apps to date, as well as a selection of authors with terrible singing voices. Some apps offer Pitch Correction in the free version of the app, while others require a purchase or subscription to unlock this feature. Let’s see if this app can withstand the vocal torture we inflicted.

What is Auto Tuning?

“Auto-Tune” could be a special software package created by Antares Audio for advanced voice processes. However, like “vacuum cleaner,” this name has become a generic term for all devices and software that turn out similar sound effects.

When used as intended, pitch correction software (to be precise generic terms) is designed to polish notes that are slightly off-key from the key in which they were recorded by the artist. However, when most people think of “autotune”, they think of a new way to use software to change the vocals of artists like Cher, Kanye West, and T-Pain. It did not hide the fact that Autotune was used, but amplified the effect of significantly changing the human voice in real-time or after recording.

Autotune vs Voice Changer

Before you get to the list of apps, keep in mind that these apps can create auto-adjusting voice effects or modify your voice.

Since many of our readers are looking for a voice modulator or vocoder app that allows you to “auto-tune” your voice, rather than a true pitch corrector, I’ll include both types of apps in the list below.

Auto-configuration mobile app

This app allows you to use pitch correction or apply auto-tuning effects to your voice right from your smartphone or tablet.

StarMaker: Sing Karaoke (Google Play Store & iOS)

StarMaker is not a voice recording auto-tuning app. Instead, it’s a karaoke app that lets you sing along to your favorite songs and tweak them in your audio editor before posting to social media or making a ringtone.

Part of this edit includes pitch correction so it doesn’t sound like you can’t fit the song in a bucket. However, pitch correction applies to all songs and is not done automatically. It allows you to play notes but still requires singing talent.

The app has millions of licensed backtracks, synced lyrics, and video filters for use with voice settings. When you’re done and you’re brave enough, you can post a video of it spinning on social media. You can even sing live if you want to play in hard mode.

AutoRap by Smule (Google Play Store & iOS)

Let’s say you always wanted to be a rapper like Dre or Eminem but lacked the talent. In this case, AutoRap makes creative raps or simply covers your favorite songs thanks to its innovative rap mode and music video feature.

AutoRap does pitch correction and automatic beat matching, whether you’re freestyle or sticking to a script. So what you really need to do is speak into the mic and let the software turn the mic musically.

This application contains more than 5000 beats used by famous rap artists. They also provide AutoRap originals and you can access bits uploaded by the AutoRap community.

Unfortunately, most of those options square measure blocked by subscription paywalls. Try two songs for free and like the results, but if you want to hear more, you have to pay, and there is no free trial!

Please set it to google play

Tune Me is designed as a hip-hop and R&B mobile studio and contains over 500 free beats, so you could be the next mumble rap star.

As the name suggests, the feature of this app is pitch correction technology.  He calls this “Auto-Pitch,” and you can adjust the intensity, from fine-tuning to auto-tuning the entire vocal.

The app automatically syncs vocals to the beat, except for pitch correction. If you are missing rhythm and pitch, this can be the app for you.

The paid “Pro” version of the app adds multi-track recordings, removes ads, and includes more vocal effects.

Voloco Auto Vocal Tune Studio (Google Play & iOS)

Voloco is one of the most famous in-style autotuning apps. It’s primarily a vocal studio in your pocket. The app automatically removes background noise and applies pitch correction automatically, so you can always sing with one voice.

The idea is to create a professional karaoke track, so the software includes an extensive library of beats. Automatically detects the pitch of a given beat and adjusts your voice accordingly. You can also use professional sound effects like audio compression, equalizer adjustments, and reverb. The app doesn’t give you detailed control over the pitch correction feature, but you can choose from several presets to get the sound you want.

Perhaps the most amazing feature of this app is its ability to remove vocals from existing tracks. So, if you’ve already recorded something, you can fix it without having to re-record the track! This also means you can create your own karaoke tracks. Once you’re happy with the final product, you can export it as an AAC or WAV file for easy playback on almost any device.

Desktop application for auto-tuning

These apps run on desktop operating systems and are generally designed for professionals rather than beginners like the song apps listed above. But if you’re dreaming of professional music, don’t be discouraged. Eventually, you will have to learn the pitch correction tool without a training wheel.

Antares Autotune Artist ($299)

There’s nothing like the original, it’s the plugin that Antares AutoTune started all about. AutoTune Artist is an alternative version of AutoTune Pro. The Artist version of the software is designed for live performances and offers the lowest latency among many Auto-Tune packages.

Although it is an expensive software package, it is quite reasonable for the cost of most professional audio software. You will also notice a distinct difference in the quality of the auto-adjustment compared to the apps you find on mobile.

Auto-Tune Artists offers a free trial to see for yourself if it’s worth it. It offers a full range of pitch corrections. Get a classic intentional sound with auto-tuning, or subtly modify a player’s pitch on stage without anyone knowing. The “Humanize” function is specifically designed to leave these human flaws on persistent notes so that the performance can still retain its emotional impact.

Sound Trap (from $9,99/mo)

Soundtrap is a GarageBand-like music creation platform that lets you record vocals and instruments in multiple tracks to create professional songs.

It has applications for several platforms, including the Soundtrap Capture app for iPhone, you can use it to record audio wherever you are. Soundtrap is more suitable for amateur musicians on a budget, but it seems to be the best music creation app.

There is a free software tier that can do most of the multitrack recording you need, but the reason Soundrap is on this list is that the paid part includes the actual Antares Auto-Tune software. Subscription level.

Yes, the $9,99/month subscription also includes Antares Auto-Tune integrated into Soundtrap. If you’ve to spit on this software price above, you’ll realize how amazing this is for that reason alone, and you’ll get a full suite of music productions in the deal.

Adjust and turn on the lights

Thanks to this app, our voices weren’t great, but at least to the karaoke crowd, they sounded pleasant. Just use proper pitch correction and put some effort to get it closer to real notes, and you’ll be happy with the results. Especially if your main goal is to share content on social media.

If you want to improve your singing voice instead of using pitch correction to tune in, consider someone like Yousician or several vocal coaches who can help you for a fee via Skype or Zoom. You can always use Autotune to improve your singing skills, but the better the original song, the better the result!
