TIPA’s cultural performance at Switzerland in Furstenlandsaal: Gossau SG’s Hall TIPA’s cultural performance at Switzerland.

After the successful performance in Hungary on 10^th and 11^th of June 2023, TIPA staff and artists comprising of 22 members, at the kind invitation of office Tibet Bureau Geneva and with the unstinting commitment, dedication and absolute sincerity primarily by three TIPA alumni including Gonpo Dotschung lak, Kyizom lak, Dechen lak who are based in Swiss and only whose express generosity with time and intent to serve our institution by organizing the event with assistance from other TIPA allumi and volunteers, were afforded the opportunity to visit Switzerland and to be with the Tibetan people there again after 20 years, between 12^th to 20^th of June 2023. On 17^th of the month, the abbot of Rikon monastery as chief guest, deputy for representative of Tibet Bureau GENEVA, the President and other members of Tibetan organization in Swiss, and over 500 Tibetan people gathered at Furstenlandsaal: Gossau SG’s Hall to watch Tibetan Opera, Tibetan Cultural dance and modern music and dance by TIPA artists and AKAMA band. And at the request of the President and members of Swiss Tibetan Culture, we managed to coordinate a brief gathering where young Tibetans from around the place who were interested in the unique Tibetan arts had an opportunity to exchange views with TIPA artists and to cover huge ground ranging from dancing skills and to share their experiences, which, we believe, opened the door to cooperation between the two.
Our heartfelt thanks go to all the Tibetans for their overwhelming response to the performances presented by TIPA artists and for the generous donations offered.
We are most grateful to Swiss Tibetan Bureau for the kind invitation, Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama New Delhi for assistance in obtaining visas and the organizing committee and all others involved in this project, for helping us realize our hope to meet Tibetans in Swiss after many years; sharing our unique culture HERITAGE with the Tibetans there; above all, making this trip a very successful one.
