Frog Thor

In the Marvel Comics universe, two distinct frog characters are associated with Thor: the first being Thor himself transformed into a frog by his trickster brother, Loki, and the second being Throg, a human-turned-frog who wields a fragment of Mjolnir.

The story of Thor’s transformation into a frog is one of the most iconic and memorable tales from Walter Simonson’s run on “Thor.” This occurs in “Thor” #363-#366, where Loki’s magical mischief turns Thor into a frog. Despite his small size, Frog Thor retains his heroic nature and helps a group of Central Park frogs in their battle against a gang of rats.

In the other storyline, one of the frogs, named Puddlegulp, encounters a sliver of Thor’s enchanted hammer, Mjolnir. When Puddlegulp lifts the fragment, he is transformed into Throg, the Frog of Thunder, gaining powers similar to Thor’s. Throg, whose real name is Simon Walterson, was a human who was transformed into a frog by a witch. As Throg, he has since had his own adventures and even joined the Pet Avengers, a team of superpowered animals that protect the world from threats.

Loki becomes a Cat

In “Marvel Meow Infinity Comic #7”, Loki undergoes a unique transformation that fits his mischievous nature perfectly – he becomes a cat. Known for his cunning and deceptive abilities, Loki finds that taking on a feline form provides him with the perfect disguise to blend in with the Avengers and engage in his favorite pastime, mischief, without facing the usual consequences.

Created by Nao Fuji, Annie Cheng, Tim Smith 3, Caitlin O’Connell, and C. B. Cebulski, this issue follows Loki as he hides amongst the cats being watched over by Marvel’s heroes. This playful transformation provides a lighthearted take on the character, showing him as a beloved troublemaker rather than a traditional antagonist.

In his feline form, Loki manages to blend in seamlessly with the other cats, even engaging in playful antics with the Avengers and their young sidekicks. Although he dons a pair of his signature horns, none of the superheroes seem to recognize him. The only characters who seem to recognize Loki in his cat form are Ogeode the Catbeast, Iric Brorson, and Alvi Brorson.

Spiderman turns into a Spider

In “The Six-Arm Saga,” a storyline that takes place in “The Amazing Spider-Man” #100-#102 (published in 1971), Spider-Man undergoes a dramatic transformation when he grows four additional arms, resulting in a total of six arms. This transformation occurs after Peter Parker attempts to rid himself of his spider-powers by creating a serum. However, the serum backfires and instead enhances his spider-like characteristics.

Later, in “Spider-Man: The Other,” a storyline that crosses over several Spider-Man titles, Peter Parker undergoes a different kind of transformation. After being killed by a character named Morlun, Peter experiences a metaphysical journey that leads to his resurrection with new powers, a biological stinger, and night vision. This transformation is a significant moment in Spider-Man’s history, as it highlights the character’s connection to spiders and further develops his superpowers.
