Starfield: Unlock Infinite Wealth with This Money Glitch

If it’s a Bethesda game, you can be sure that fans are going to find some wacky ways to heighten the experience. Starfield follows the tradition of a T. Now that Starfield has been out for a few weeks, players have already found a glitch that allows you to essentially scam shopkeepers and make infinite money.

Bethesda is already known for its buggy releases. While other game devs tend to receive a lot of flak for bugs, Bethesda has a certain charm to its glitches, especially to the players who have been around to see the same exploits working for multiple titles.

Harkening back to the Skyrim days, there was a glitch that allowed players to clip under the game’s floor in Whiterun. Doing this revealed something interesting. Chests. Yes, chests under the floors that served as the game’s shopkeeper NPC stocks. So, if you ever talk to an NPC in a Bethesda game, chances are that they are connected to a magical chest programmed to be just out of your sight. The game is then programmed to grant you access through a shop menu. If you’re clipped underneath, though, it’s free loot. The game doesn’t even do as much as add a lock to it. Over a decade later, Starfield has the exact same glitch. Considering how much time Bethesda had to address this bug, it’s comical that they have refused to change it.

In a video clip shared by YouTuber vNivara, they managed to successfully clip underneath the New Atlantis map.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Head to the New Atlantis commercial district
  2. Cross over to the waterfall area
  3. Slip through a gap in the map close to the Cliffside
  4. Once under, you can begin to find your way back to the vendor’s shops
  5. Their loot is stored in chests a few feet below the buildings

If you want the best payout, find the chest belonging to the ship services technician. Here, you’ll gain access to a chest containing an enormous total of 72,000 credits. The best part? You can plunder the loot from this chest more than once. Be sure to wait for a total of 48 hours in the game before trying again. It’s also best to leave the area and find something else to do during this time.

Repeat the process to your heart’s content. But then again, you really shouldn’t rely on this too much. Starfield is a world that is crafted with an experience and fantasy for players. Glitching your way into superior loot might feel good for a while, but this type of game is best enjoyed with the satisfaction that comes with experience and quests.

If you really want to enjoy a personalized Starfield experience, you’ll unfortunately have to wait until 2024, when official mod support is added to the game. There’s a lot in store for this game’s future, so be sure to get the most vanilla version out of your system until the wacky ideas are truly given the space to flow.

Are you going to test the glitch for infinite money in Starfield?
