The newly unveiled office, sprawling across 15 floors, is strategically located and can accommodate up to 1,200 employees. With parking facilities for 740 cars, designated lab spaces, wellness areas, and the iconic Caffe Macs, Apple’s Bengaluru office is designed to foster collaboration and creativity among its diverse teams.

What sets this office apart is its complete reliance on 100% renewable energy, aligning with Apple’s dedication to environmental sustainability. The company aims for the highest level of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, emphasizing its commitment to green building practices. The interiors boast a fusion of modern design and local elements, featuring native plants and utilizing locally sourced wood, stone, and fabrics for walls and flooring.

In an official statement, Apple expressed excitement about expanding its footprint in India, particularly in Bengaluru. The city already houses various Apple teams, covering software engineering, hardware technologies, operations, customer support, and more. The company emphasized that the workspace is meticulously crafted to encourage innovation, creativity, and connectivity.

Apple has entrenched itself in key Indian cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Gurugram. The Bengaluru office plays a pivotal role in diverse functions, including software, hardware, services, IS&T, operations, and customer support. Currently boasting a workforce of over 3,000 employees in India, this expansion follows the recent inauguration of two physical Apple stores in BKC and Saket in 2023, underscoring Apple’s unwavering commitment to the Indian market.

Notably, Apple’s dominance extends beyond its physical presence in India. In a significant industry shift, Apple’s iPhone series outpaced Samsung Electronics Co. devices as the best-selling smartphone series in 2023. This marks the first time since 2010 that Samsung has relinquished the top spot. With approximately 235 million shipments last year, the iPhone commanded a fifth of the global market, according to research firm IDC. Samsung, with shipments totaling 226.6 million, secured the second position, surpassing competitors like Xiaomi Corp.

Apple’s remarkable strides in both infrastructure expansion and market dominance underscore its formidable presence in India’s burgeoning tech landscape.
