Update on Odisha Train Accident: List of Cancelled and Diverted Trains

The Train accident in Odisha involved a triple collision between the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, the Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express, and a goods train, resulting in the unfortunate loss of over 200 lives. As a consequence of this incident, several trains have been cancelled, while others have been diverted to alternate routes.

Here’s a list of trains that have been cancelled:

• 18044 Bhadrak – Howrah Express from Bhadrak;
• 20890 Tirupati-Howrah Express from Tirupati;
• 12551 Bangalore – Kamakhya AC SF Express from Bangalore;
• 12864 Bangalore – Howrah Express from Bangalore;
• 12253 Bangalore – Bhagalpur Anga Express;
• 08411 Balasore -Bhubaneswar special from Balasore;
• 08415/08416 Jenapur-Puri-Jenapur from both the direction;
• 08439 Puri-Patna special from Puri.

Apart from this, the southern railway also issued a list of cancelled trains for today

• 18037 (KGP-JJKR EXP)
• 2022877 (HWH-ERS ANTYODAYA EXPRESS)
• 12841 (SHM-MAS COROMONDEL EXP)
• 18043 (HWH-BHC BAGHAJATIN EXP)
• 08007 (SHM-V2R BI-WEEKLY SPECIAL)
• 08061 (HWH JER MEMU PASS SPL)
• 18409 (SHM-PURI SRI JAGANNATH EX)
• 08065 (KGP BLDA MEMU SPL)
• 18046 (HYB-SHM) EXP
• 12704 (SC-HWH EXP)
• 22606 (VM-PRR EXP
• 22641 (TVC-SHM) EXP

The following trains have been diverted according to the South Eastern Railway:

• Train 118478 (YNRK-PURI) will now run via IB-JSGR-SBPY-ANGL-CTC.
• Train 12664 (Tiruchchirapali-Howrah) will now run via VZM-TIG-SBP-JSG-ROU-TATA-ASB-KGP.
• Train 22503 (Kanniyakumari-Dibrugarh) will now run via VZM-TIG-SBP-JSG-ROU-TATA-ASB.

As per the Kharagpur Division notification, the following trains will be diverted:

• Train 12246 Bangalore – Howrah Express, originating from Bangalore on June 2, 2023, will now run via Naraj-Angul-Sambalpur city-Jharsuguda.
• Train 12503 Bangalore – Agartala Express, originating from Bangalore on June 2, 2023, will now run via Vizianagaram-Titilagarh-Jharsuguda.
• Train 12864 Bangalore – Howrah Express, originating from Bangalore on June 2, 2023, will now run via Naraj-Angul-Sambalpur city-Jharsuguda.
• Train 18048 Vascoda Gama-Shalimar, originating from Vascoda Gama on June 2, 2023, will now run via Cuttack-Angul-Sambalpur City-Jharsuguda.
• Train 15630 Silghat Town-Tambaram Nagaon Express, originating from Silghat Town on June 2, 2023, will now run via Jharsuguda-Sambalpur City-Angul-Cuttack.
• Train 07029 Agartala – Secunderabad special, originating from Agartala on June 2, 2023, will now run via Jharsuguda-Sambalpur City-Angul-Cuttack.
• Train 12664 Tiruchchirappalli – HWH Howrah Express, originating from Tiruchchirappalli on June 2, 2023, will now run via Vizianagaram-Titilagarh-Jharsuguda.
• Train 15630 Silghat-Tambram Express, with a journey commencing on June 2, 2023, will run on a diverted route via Asansol-Chandil-Rourkela-Jharsuguda-Sambalpur City-Angul-Cuttack.
• Train 07029 Agartala-Secunderabad Express, with a journey commencing on June 2, 2023, will run on a diverted route via Bhattanagar-Kharagpur-Tatanagar-Jharsuguda-Sambalpur City-Angul-Cuttack.
• Train 08415 Jaleswar-Puri Special, with a journey commencing on June 3, 2023, will be short originated from Bhadrak.
• Train 12704 Secunderabad-Howrah Falaknuma Express, with a journey commencing on June 2, 2023, will be short-terminated at Bhubaneswar.

Furthermore, the following changes will be implemented:

• Train 12704 Secunderabad-Howrah Express, originating from Secunderabad on June 2, 2023, will only run up to Cuttack. The service from Cuttack to Howrah will be cancelled.
• Train 18046 Hyderabad-Shalimar East Coast Express, originating from Hyderabad on June 3, 2023, will be rescheduled for 3 hours.
