Yoo Ah In Suspected of Using Drugs
The Korean media estimated that Yoo Ah In had to pay the penalty fees due to being dragged into a drug case considering that he was lined up to become a model for a number of brands.

The penalty fee that Yoo Ah In had to pay for being dragged into a drug case became the spotlight of the South Korean media. The actor is suspected of spending billions of won to pay for advertising fines.

Yoo Ah In was revealed to be an advertising model for at least 10 different companies. The actor born in 1986 is predicted to have to pay at least more than 10 billion won or up to 117 billion rupiah for advertisers.

The man whose real name is Uhm Hong Sik is known to work with health food companies to fashion. Starting from the health food company Chong Kun Dang Health, the fashion companies Musinsa, Nepa and Bottega Vaneta, then the cosmetics company Santekai, and the food company Ottogi.

According to the industry, Yoo Ah In's annual advertising fee is estimated to be around 800 to 900 million won. If it is converted into rupiah, it will reach 9.4 to 10.53 billion rupiah.

In the industry, it is common to pay a fine of two to three times the cost of an advertisement in a contractual clause. This must be paid if the advertising model has damaged the image by violating the law.

In fact, currently Chong Kun Dang Health, Musinsa, and Nepa have removed all advertisements featuring actors under the auspices of the United Artist Agency (UAA). If these drug-related charges are admitted, the companies are said to be considering canceling the contract and possibly filing for a penalty. However, as the police investigation and conviction on the drug charges are not complete, the matter of claiming the fine will likely take some time.

Not only for advertisements, Yoo Ah In is also suspected of paying fines for the projects he stars in. The reason is, several projects had to be postponed and even threatened to be canceled due to the controversy over the use of drugs by this famous actor.

In the case of a film or drama project, it would be difficult to just change the model or remove the promotions that are spread out like advertisements. Thus, a much more fantastic loss appeared due to the actions of the cast of "Hellbound".

However, the penalty clauses of commercials and film or drama projects are certainly different. This means that it is still unknown what steps the production team will take for the losses due to the Yoo Ah In case.

The cost of the 3 films from Yoo Ah In's ongoing project is said to have reached 65 billion won, equivalent to 760.7 billion rupiah. These three projects are the movies "Competition" and "High Five", then the drama "The Last Fool". (wk/alpha)
