In The Name of God A Holy Betrayal Will Continue The Story Into Season Two

Producers of In The Name of God A Holy Betrayal intend to work on a second season (Yonhap News and Netflix)

In The Name of God A Holy Betrayal achieved great success since its premiere last Friday (3/3).

Successfully dismantling the dark story of the stories of four cult leaders in South Korea, this series has managed to become the number one most popular Netflix in several countries.

Specifically, In The Name of God A Holy Betrayal tells the story of Jeong Myeong Seok, Park Soon Ja, Kim Ki Soon, and Lee Jae Rok.

Both of them thought of themselves as God or Prophet, the stories of the four of them became busy in public discussion after the broadcast of In The Name of God A Holy Betrayal.

In the press conference held on (10/3), Director Cho Sung Hyun appeared before the public telling the motivations and ups and downs he faced during the production process.

Under tight guard, he admitted that he had concerns when slowly his face began to be published and appeared in public as the director of In The Name of God A Holy Betrayal.

The magnitude of the impact he faced when trying to expose the abominations of cult leaders, did not stop him from awakening the public just because he was afraid.

He especially had high hopes with the documentary series In The Name of God A Holy Betrayal.

Cho Sung Hyun hopes that many people who are still members of the cult can watch this series and leave it soon.

Although he did not mention significantly which cult he was referring to, most of this was directed at the followers of JMS or Jeong Myeong Seok who are still actively operating today.

Cho Sung Hyun's party even received many obstacles from JMS followers who wanted to block the In The Name of God A Holy Betrayal series.

Despite the many obstacles he faces, Cho Sung Hyun's desire to awaken society is greater.

Not wanting to stop here, Cho Sung Hyun expressed his intention to start working on the second season of In The Name of God A Holy Betrayal.

This was encouraged when he heard that many victims of the cult were slowly leaving the genres after watching In The Name of God: A Holy Betrayal.

“According to activities in online communities, many victims have left the cult after hearing about the documentary,” said Cho Sung Hyun.

Not only affecting the membership of the followers, the series In The Name of God A Holy Betrayal also took part in the public trigger to boycott one of the businesses that allegedly belonged to one of the four cult members discussed in the series.

Synnara Records is a K-Pop album sales company that is very well known not only in the national and even international markets.
