In the drama 'You Have Done Well', IU plays a character named Ae Soon. The actress emphasized that the character is different from Jang Man Wol in 'Hotel Del Luna'.

IU has confirmed agreeing to star in the drama "You Have Done Well" (literal title). In the drama by scriptwriter Im Sang Choon, this 1993-born actress will compete acting with Park Bo Gum.

During an interview with BAZAAR Korea magazine, IU shared her reasons for agreeing to star in "You Have Done Well". "I think everyone will think like this once the drama is released, 'Ah, even I might want to take it for myself,'" he said.

IU enjoyed watching writer Im Sang Choon's previous projects. The actress also shared her inner feeling of the scriptwriter's talent of "You Have Done Well". "And (the drama) feels new to me because it has its own unique story," he said.

"As someone who likes to read and write, I envy the writer's talent for being able to make people feel this kind of emotion even though it's only printed. The subject matter itself is good, but I like the fact that (this drama) tells a heavy story without being heavy," continued the singer of the song "Blueming".

In "You Have Done Well", IU plays a character named Ae Soon. The actress emphasized that the character is different from Jang Man Wol in "Hotel Del Luna". "Man Wol in 'Hotel del Luna' is definitely an unusual character," he said.

IU added, “However, Ae Soon also has her own unique points. Ae Soon seems like someone you can easily find around you but if you look closely, she is a person whose individuality as a human stands out. I seem to be attracted to people like that. "

IU also revealed that Ae Soon is the character most similar to her real personality when compared to her previous works. "The scriptwriter has great observation skills," IU praised Im Sang Choon.

"He said that he wanted to incorporate a characteristic that I had that wasn't very obvious into the character. To the point that I thought, 'Oh my gosh, how did you know that I had this kind of side to me?' After reading the script," he concluded. (wk/amal)
