Girls' Generation's “FOREVER 1” first week sales were impressive. They managed to achieve double Girls' Generation's personal record from five years ago.

Quoting Soompi, Monday (15/8/2022), Girls' Generation has just made a comeback after five years. They released their seventh studio album “FOREVER 1” and the title track of the same name online. The group also released a physical version of the album three days later, on August 8.

According to Hanteo Chart, “FOREVER 1” sold over 100,000 copies on August 8 alone, breaking Girls' Generation's previous first-week sales record of 90,217 in just its first day of sales.

Hanteo Chart also reports that “FOREVER 1” has managed to sell an impressive total of 186,687 copies in its first week of release from August 8 to 14. That is, it is more than double Girls' Generation's personal record five years ago.

Girls' Generation is a South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment in 2007. They are also known as SNSD or Soshi. This group consists of eight members, namely Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun.
