What is Disney Plus: plans, price, and why you should get it

Disney Plus has established itself as a dominant force in the streaming service market despite only being introduced in November 2019. As of February 2022, Disney+ had 129.8 million subscribers worldwide and boasted one of the largest collections of movies and TV shows, including some of the top original series from the MCU and Star Wars properties. With services like Netflix, Apple TV+, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max, and others, it can compete.

Disney Plus may no longer provide a free trial, but new and recurring users may still purchase a month of Disney+ for for $1.99. The deal is available till September 19.

Disney+ makes up for a collection that isn’t quite as big as Netflix with quality. It is the only location to see new originals like Obi-wan Kenobi, The Mandalorian, Hawkeye, and WandaVision, as well as a sizable piece of Disney’s enormous content library that is exclusively available for streaming on this platform. On the same day that they are released in theaters, new movies like Disney’s Cheaper By the Dozen and Pixar’s Turning Red can also be found. Disney+ is a powerful service that also features content from National Geographic and offers that let you purchase Hulu and ESPN+ for a single payment.

It is less expensive than Netflix ($14) and HBO Max ($15) at just $8 a month (growing to $11 in December 2022). Additionally, the Disney Bundle is a wonderful value because it combines Hulu and ESPN+ for just $14 per month. Disney+ is more well-liked than ever and doesn’t appear to be slowing down. Here is all the information you require.

What does Disney Plus include?

Hundreds of Disney-related films and television shows are currently available on Disney+. There are numerous classic animated films like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Pinocchio, as well as more recent Disney Channel fare like Descendants, classic live-action films like The Parent Trap and Old Yeller, forgotten oddities like the made-for-TV Fuzzbucket, a sizable collection of ’90s Marvel cartoons, nearly every Star Wars film, Pixar films, and a whole lot more.

The majority of Marvel movies are available on the service, but some MCU movies are not available on Disney+ because of license arrangements with other streaming services, such Netflix. The Incredible Hulk and all of the Spider-Man films starring Tom Holland are still unavailable. However, Disney Plus does offer access to all of the X-Men movies and, luckily, the entire Star Wars universe.

Where things really become interesting on Disney+ are the original productions. A number of live-action Star Wars programs continue to air on Disney+, including The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Obi-Wan Kenobi, which is set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope and stars Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen in their prequel movie roles. These include the prequel to Rogue One, Star Wars: Andor, in which Diego Luna and Alan Tudyk will return to their respective characters from that movie, and Ahsoka, in which Rosario Dawson will continue to play the troubled former Padawan of Anakin Skywalker.
