Family Law is a Canadian legal drama series created by Susin Nielsen. The drama series follows the story of Abigail Bianchi, a recovering alcoholic and lawyer, who is forced to work in her estranged father’s firm where her siblings also work. Together, the Svensson family handles the dysfunctional families of their clients as well as their own. Family Law stars Jewel Staite in the lead role with Victor Garber, Zach Smadu, and Genelle Williams starring in supporting roles. Margaret’s penchant for excellence and strict adherence to the law is at complete odds with Todd’s scrappy methods of finding his way through sticky situations. When Todd inadvertently teams with his mother on a case, she’s surprised to find herself duly impressed by – and proud of – his crafty ability to sleuth out information with his charm and his wide-ranging tech savvy. At last, Margaret sees a way to put her son on a “suitable” path to living an adult, financially solvent life she approves of, and she asks him to join her firm. Todd agrees, since it means getting his license back and once again doing the job he excels at and loves. Mother and son working together is a big first step toward mending their fragile, dysfunctional relationship, and they may even come away with a better understanding of each other. But whether Todd and Margaret will be able to accept each other for who they are is another case entirely.
Ally McBeal (Hulu)
Synopsis: Created by David E. Kelley, Ally Mcbeal is a quirky dramedy about the lives of a group of young Boston lawyers both in and out of the courtroom. Calista Flockhart stars as Ally, a Harvard-educated up-and-coming lawyer who’s hired by former classmate Richard Fish (Greg Germann) after being sexually harassed by her previous employer. Life is never dull at the firm of Cage, Fish, and Associates thanks to Fish’s greedy outlook on life and idiosyncrasies of his partner, John Cage (Peter MacNicol). Ally’s rather unpredictable assistant Elaine (Jane Krakowski) also adds to the fray. But while Ally proves to be an outstanding lawyer, she can’t seem to pull her personal life together, especially when she’s reunited with the former love of her life, Billy Thomas (Gil Bellows) and befriends his wife, Georgia (Courtney Thorne-Smith). Luckily her roommate/bestfriend, Renee (Lisa Nicole Carson), helpsher deal with the craziness of it all.
Bad Judge (Rent on Prime Video)
Synopsis: No excuses, no apologies, no compromises. Wild child Rebecca Wright (Kate Walsh, “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Private Practice”) knows how to have a good time, but she also happens to be one of LA’s toughest and most respected criminal court judges. She has a reputation for unorthodox behavior in the courtroom, including creative rulings and saying exactly what’s on her mind. Her private life, on the other hand, is anything but innocent. While there’s no shortage of male admirers who would love to spend time with her, she’s not ready to settle down.

Synopsis: The Grinder is a new comedy about two brothers: one a spotlight-grabbing actor who plays TV’s most popular lawyer and the other, a real-life, small-town attorney who has yet to find his spotlight. The series stars Robe Lowe and Fred Savage.
