10 Shows Like ‘Dexter’ To Watch If You Miss the Series

There’s no shortage of fans of Showtime’s Dexter series, mainly because it was a brilliant piece of television with a very intriguing and charismatic leading character played to perfection by Michael C. Hall. Dexter’s last season aired in 2013 with twelve episodes with a very hated finale episode but fans received a revival series not so long ago titled Dexter: New Blood, which at the end of the day also divided fans but it was a good conclusion. Mr. Robot (Prime Video)

Synopsis: Young antisocial computer programmer Elliot works as a cybersecurity engineer during the day, but at night he is a vigilante hacker. He is recruited by the mysterious leader of an underground group of hackers to join their organization. Elliot’s task? Help bring down corporate America, including the company he is paid to protect – which presents him with a moral dilemma. Prodigal Son (HBO Max)

The Killing (Hulu)

Synopsis: Based on the Danish series Forbrydelsen, THE KILLING follows various murder investigations led by homicide detectives “Sarah Linden” (Mireille Enos) and “Stephen Holder” (Joel Kinnaman). Seasons one and two chronicled the “Rosie Larsen case,” with Linden and Holder investigating the murder of a teenage girl. Picking up one year after the close of that investigation, season three followed the detectives on their search for a runaway girl, leading them to discover a gruesome string of murders that connected to a previous investigation by Linden.

Synopsis: Criminals is a police procedural with a unique premise, CRIMINAL takes place exclusively within the confines of a police interview suite. This stripped down, cat-and-mouse drama focuses on the intense mental conflict between the police detectives and the suspect in question.

The Fall (Tubi, Peacock & Prime Video)

Synopsis: Emmy and Golden Globe winner Gillian Anderson (The X-Files) smolders as a British detective summoned to Belfast to solve a high-profile murder. She quickly recognizes the signs of a serial killer, but the culprit (Jamie Dornan, Once Upon a Time) has already targeted his next victim.

Hannibal (Hulu)

Synopsis: The dark and haunting series “Hannibal” returns for a third season, revealing the fates of characters hanging in the balance, and the continuing psychological cat-and-mouse games they face.
