The Wrath of Becky looked like good fun, blood, guts and gore, who doesn’t love that? Oh yeah, stupid, stinking, selfish normies. Sometimes, blood and guts can be good. However, the trailer dropped for it recently and… well, see for yourself.

As I said, I was looking forward to this, but that trailer is just John Wick with a girl, they couldn’t even be arsed to change the dog. Also, for a red-band trailer, it wasn’t very bloody.
Talk about bad advertising. Wrath of Becky is a sequel to the 2020 movie Becky, which starred Kevin James as an escaped convict. I oddly remember liking the original Becky, it was kind of fun, and James was pretty good in it and the gore was set to 11.
However, that’s all I can tell you: “I kinda liked it” and there was a good scene with a lawnmower. It didn’t necessarily deserve a sequel. Well, the producers thought it did. The story for the Wrath of Becky is:
“Two years after she escaped a violent attack on her family, Becky attempts to rebuild her life in the care of an older woman – a kindred spirit named Elena. But when a group known as the ‘Noble Men’ break into their home, attack them, and take her beloved dog, Diego, Becky must return to her old ways to protect herself and her loved ones.“
The movie stars Lulu Wilson, who played the role in the first one, Sean William Scott, Kate Siegel, Matt Angel, Alison Cimmet, Courtney Gains, and John D. Hickman. It’s directed by Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote, both relatively new to the scene.
