It’s an action-packed month on Tvn Asia this April 2023 with the new comedy-action series “Stealer: The Treasure Keeper” and the sci-fi thriller “Duty After School.” In the new variety show “The Genius Paik,” a restaurant opens abroad. The Korean TV channel also offers special programming for the Islamic Hari Raya holidays this month.

‘Stealer: The Treasure Keeper’ premieres on tvN Asia this April 2023
“Stealer: The Treasure Keeper” marks Joo Won’s return to the small screen. Joo Won plays the role of Hwang Dae-myung of the Cultural Heritage Administration Special Investigation Department. He secretly lives a double life as a powerful dark hero Skunk. His mission is to retrieve stolen cultural heritages from those who cannot be punished by the law.
Also in “Stealer: The Treasure Keeper” are Lee Ju-woo, Jo Han-chul, Kim Jae-won, and Choi Hwa-jung. The new series will premiere on tvN Asia on Thursday, April 13, at 9:15 p.m. New episodes will air at the same time on subsequent Thursdays and Fridays.
Watch out for the second part of ‘Duty After School’
In this drama, high school students face mysterious alien spheres that have invaded our planet. To strengthen its military power, the Korean government calls on high school seniors to join the reserve forces. College admission incentives await those who decide to sign up. A class of Sung Jin High School senior students thus turns into a military platoon of soldiers. They soon find themselves in a brutal frontline battle against the extra-terrestrial forces.
In the cast of “Duty After School” are Shin Hyun-soo, Lee Soon-won, Im Se-mi, Kim Ki-hae, Choi Moon-hee. Moon Sang-min of “Under the Queen’s Umbrella” also appears as one of the senior students.
The six-episode part one of “Duty After School” concluded on April 3. Its second part will air at 9:25 p.m. on April 22, Saturday, and April 23, Sunday.
‘The Genius Paik’: K-food abroad
Fans of variety shows may look forward to “The Genius Paik,” featuring South Korean chef Paik Jong-won. Will the celebrity chef be able to successfully run a restaurant abroad? With the help of Lee Jang-woo, BamBam, Yuri and John Park, he will start his business in Africa and Italy.
“The Genius Paik” premiered on tvN Asia tonight. New episodes will air every Friday at 10:30 p.m.

Saturday night K-films on tvN Asia this April
Saturday nights are movie nights on tvN Asia. On April 8, watch “Tazza: The Hidden Card,” starring Shin Se-kyung and Choi Seung-hyun (T.O.P). On April 15, “Christmas in August,” starring Han Suk-kyu and Shim Eun-ha, will air. It is the Korean movie that “Alchemy of Souls” lead star Lee Jae-wook recommended to his Filipino fans.
Meanwhile, “The President’s Barber,” starring Song Kang-ho and Moon So-ri, is scheduled to air on April 22. Finally, “Cassiopeia,” starring Seo Hyun-jin and Ahn Sung-ki, is slated for April 29.
