Early Life

Tye was born on the 11th of November in the year 1996 in Elkhart. He is the son of Stephaine and Bryan Sheridan. His mother, Stephaine, owned a beauty salon, and his father Brayan, worked at the United Parcel Service (UPS). He is the eldest child of the couple who has a sister named Madison. During the start of his acting career, he had no experience in acting.

He studied at the Elkhart Independent School District in Texas but started receiving tutoring at the film set when he turned his focus into acting.

In Film

Tye Sheridan started his career in acting from the 2011 epic drama film “The Tree of Life” as Steve O’Brien alongside Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, and Jessica Chastain. He was awarded the role after the audition of the film, with about 10,000 children completed. The audition went for a year. The film premiered at Cannes Film Festival in 2011 and went on winning Palme d’Or, the highest award at the festival. It was also nominated for the Academy Awards for Best Picture. It grossed over $61 million against a budget of $32 million.

He was then seen in the coming-of-age drama film “Mud” as Ellis in the year 2012. He appeared in “Joe” as Gary Jones in 2013. The film was a commercial disaster but received few positive responses from the critics. He was then seen in “The Forger” as Will Cutter in 2014.

In the year 2015, Tye became part of five different films. He starred as Eddie the Opener in “Entertainment,” which premiered at the Sundance Festival and received positive responses from the critics. He then appeared in “Last Days in the Desert” as Son, “The Stanford Prison Experiment” as Peter Mitchell, “Dark Places” as Young Ben Day, and “Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse” as Ben Goudy. But none of the films could perform well in the commercial market.

In 2016, Tye Sheridan starred in “Detour” before taking the role of Scott Summers in “X-Men: Apocalypse”. “X-Men Apocalypse” was a commercial success grossing over $543 million against a $173 million budget. He was also nominated for Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Award for his performance.

He then appeared in “The Yellow Birds” as Daniel Murphy and “All Summers End” as Conrad Stevens in 2017. He appeared in four films in 2018. He was seen as Wade Watts in “Ready Player One”, as Richie in “Age Out”, as Scott Summers (Cameo) in “Deadpool 2” and as Andy in “The Mountain”. He reprised his role as Scott Summers for “Dark Phoenix” in the year 2019. In 2020, he appeared as Bart Bromley in “The Night Clerk”.

He is all set to be featured in the upcoming films “Voyagers” and “The Card Counter” as Christopher Rebbs and Cirk.

He was a part of the 2014 television series titled “The last man Standing” in Justin’s role for three episodes of the show.
