Both of these fights were fought in the Driller Promotions fighting series. Likewise, he used his knees and elbows to technically knock out Rico DiSciullo in Dana White’s Contender Series 9 on 12 June 2018 in 2 minutes and 15 seconds of round number three. Impressed by this performance, he was selected to compete in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He gave his debut performance in the Ultimate Fighting Championship on 4 August 2018 in a fight against Ricky Simon.

However, he faced his first-ever career defeat against Simon via unanimous decision after fighting for three five-minute rounds.
