The operatives of the Osun State Command of the Western Nigeria Security Network Agency, popularly known as Operation Amotekun, have made an arrest on three suspected thieves for carting away Goats from their owners.

While parading them today (06/09/2022) in Osogbo, the suspects were identified as Segun Oladipupo (40-year-old mechanic), Wale Samuel and Sulaiman Garbuga.

The corps Field Commander, Amitolu Shittu, in his remarks, had said the suspects were arrested following a tip-off received from it's chapter in Oyo State, that the culprits were dealing in the theft and sales of goats.

An immediate action led to the arrest of Segun and Wale and a space bus, which according to him, was given to the suspects by their sponsor who is said to have fled, as a means of easing their heinous operations.

The suspects disguised as people transporting beans and onions and use it as cover to ferry the goats which according to the suspects were picked at different locations in Osogbo and Ibadan. We were notified by some operatives in Ibadan, Oyo State, that some criminals were engaging in Stealing Goats. We decided to raid some places and discovered some suspects with a bus carrying goats. They put beans and onions to cover them. But during interrogation, they confessed to have stolen them

While stating that investigation is still ongoing, the Field Commander also said the suspects would be handed over to the police and charged to court once their part is done.
