He owns several exclusive outfitting areas in Canada’s wilderness areas, including the famed Pacific Rim Guide Territory on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, and the famed 12,000-square-mile Rogue River Outfitting Area in the Yukon Territory. Winner of 15 Golden Moose Awards for his television work from 2009 to 2017, he is a master of archery, muzzleloading and rifles. He is a retired Honorary Lieutenant Colonel of the 4th Canadian Ranger Patrol Group (4CRPG) of the Canadian Forces and an international member of the Explorers Club of New York City, where he lives with his entire family – Louise, Eva and Brenlyn (Branlin) working on production together.

Jim attended Simon Fraser University and Carleton University, where he was an All-American swimmer and a member of the Canadian national water polo team that competed in two world championships. He is considered an expert on the ethnocentric art of western Canada and in 2019 he opened the Human Hand Museum of Culture, Art and Conservation on Vancouver Island, Canada. Thousands of people visit this amazing museum, which is funded entirely by voluntary donations.

With a passion for conservation and adventure, Eva is known as a strong, proud outdoors woman and has become an influential voice in the hunting community, appearing on Fox News, Fox & Friends, Fox Business and ABC Night line and other national television programs. In 2015, Eva starred alongside Miranda Lambert in the award-winning Ram Trucks commercial Courage is Also Inside, becoming the first ever The two women who have appeared on the cover of “Field & Stream” are second only to Queen Elizabeth II. In 1976, the first woman appeared on the cover.

Eva was a competitive dancer before pursuing a full-time career in the outdoor industry and continues to incorporate her passion for dance, fitness and nutrition into her daily life. Eva currently has over 1.5 million followers on social media and updates her page daily with photos and videos highlighting her adventures, recipes, fashion and tips for living a good life.

Eva spent more than half a year traveling the world hunting and hosting “Jim Shockey’s Hunting Adventures” on the Outdoor Channel. She also represents major companies such as Under Armor, Cabela’s, Daniel Defense, Bowtech, MTN OPS and Muzzy Broadheads. In 2015, Eva married professional ice hockey player Tim Brent and found a way to combine hunting, travel, and family in what she calls “the best lifestyle in the world.”
