Power disruptions are expected to hit Plateau, Gombe, and Bauchi

According to Jos Electricity Distribution (JED), power interruptions will affect its consumers in the states of Plateau, Bauchi, and Gombe from August 28 to September 2.

The scheduled downtime, according to the organisation, would extend from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The organisation explained that the planned outage by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) was to allow its local engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors to make installations in a statement released by its Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Friday Elijah, on Saturday in Jos.

The purpose of the planned outage, according to the statement, is to allow TCN’s EPCC contractors to securely link the new APO line’s gantry beam to the pre-existing Lafia line-Jos 330kv double circuit.

As the Kaduna-Jos 330KV line will continue to supply the 330KV Jos complex, it was highlighted that load shedding would rise during this time.

Therefore, the statement urged the audience to exercise patience and tolerance while reiterating that the business is committed to enhancing its offerings.
