Roadhog Rework Overwatch 2 Leaked, “Soft Rework” To Better Suit Overwatch 2

One of the next heroes to undergo a makeover in Overwatch 2 is Roadhog, who will get some adjustments to make him better suited for the 5v5 action in the sequel. Given that Blizzard appears to be placing a lot of emphasis on the tank class, it appears that this update will coincide with the Junker Queen buff.

Lead hero designer for Overwatch 2 Alec Dawson provided this information. Following the release of the most recent mid-season patch, Dawson stated that Roadhog will experience significant modifications in mid- to late-January as a result of a purported “moderate makeover,” indicating that the game’s creators have huge plans for the well-liked tank choice.

Dawson revealed on Twitter that the threat posed by the hook-wielding character wouldn’t remain the same forever after the most recent patch went live and left Roadhog unchanged. The hero designer said, “Overall, he’s getting a moderate makeover to better position him as a 5v5 tank.

According to Dawson, the patch we received on December 15th should include some modifications to Roadhog. However, due to “technical challenges,” they were put off until January.

Although the new Roadhog’s appearance is still unknown, Dawson claims that its one-shot powers are being diminished by developers, so don’t anticipate being able to intimidate Mercy Mains in the race next month. However, other from providing him the ability to benefit the entire team rather than just himself, it’s unclear how to rebuild Roadhog into a better 5v5 tank.

While some disgruntled fans responded, the majority was relieved that Roadhog’s hook and one-hit formula were no longer applicable. Many of the responses, in fact, were about the recent Doomfist nerf rather than the Roadhog news. Fair enough, a lot of us are still perplexed about it.
