By the end of the season, we get to meet one of the strangest devils that the season has seen. And then, he takes the decision to change things in his life. Towards the finale, the devil asks Akira to help him meet as many devils as possible.

In the next season, Devilman Crybaby Season 2, the hunt for more of the devils is to begin. Just like the pilot, the anime’s sequel will be bringing some interesting new characters here. In addition to this, the two of them are to join hands and fuse once again so as to hunt for devils in the world around them.

A large part of the decision lies on the shoulders of Netflix. The company has been going through a phase of flux for the last year. As a result of this, a lot of its projects were scrapped or shelved under the name of cost-cutting.
