Lawrence Brooks was an American stager of the United States Army and the oldest living man in the United States at the time of his death. A supercentenarian from New Orleans, Louisiana, he was the oldest known surviving American World War II stager. After his military service, Brooks worked as a forklift driver in New Orleans until his withdrawal, and had five children. In 2005, his woman Leona was killed in Hurricane Katrina. In themid-2010s, The National WWII Museum began to host an periodic birthday party for Brooks. In 2020, this festivity included a flyover of World War II aircraft over Brooks’s house, with the gallery‘s”Victory Belles”, a triad of vocalizers performing songs predominate from the 1940’s period.
