Robert H. Peters was a Canadian men‘s ice hockey trainer. He was the head trainer of the Bemidji State University ice hockey platoon from 1967 to 2001. With 702 triumphs, he ranks fifth each– time in career triumphs by a men‘s council ice hockey trainer. Peters’ influence on council hockey also has stretched outside the arena. He has proven his executive chops at Bemidji State by serving as athletic director and head hockey trainer, and he advanced service to several panels. Under Peters’ guidance, BSU hockey progressed from NAIA to NCAA Division III to NCAA Division II, and in 1999, BSU elevated its hockey program to Division I. He served on crown panels for the NAIA and NCAA for over 20 times, and in 2001 was named a Hobey Baker Legend of Hockey.
