Mustafa Cengiz was a Turkish businessman and the president of Galatasaray S.K., a sports club. Cengiz has owned and maintained his own businesses in the petroleum goods trade since 1990. He was chairman of the Turkish Employers’ Union of Gasoline and Liquefied Petroleum Gas Dealers at one point. Cengiz was appointed to the by-law committee by Galatasaray S.K.’s council. He was in charge of revising the sports club’s bylaws. On January 20, 2018, Cengiz was elected as the 37th president of Galatasaray S.K., receiving 1,703 votes out of 3,416 cast, while defending president Dursun zbek received 1,623 votes. His tenure as president expired in June 2021, and he was succeeded by Burak Elmas.
