Welcome to Samdal-ri Episode 16 Recap

Having explained the plan to get the photographs from KMO, Yong-pil and Sam-dal make a move the next day with the haenyeos group ready to keep the reporters busy. Soon, the divers reach KMO’s front gate and block the reporters while Sam-dal and Yong-pil get the photographs out from the back gate. However, they are seen by one reporter who has been notorious while following this case.

They soon make their way to the warehouse at Sang-tae’s office while being followed by the same reporter who is curious about why Sam-dal is hell-bent on having this exhibition. The photographs are soon put up as Sam-dal displays her people and her hometown while merging pictures of people from Samdal-ri with the atmospheric phenomenons.

Meanwhile, Sang-do and the others get hold of Chung-ki and get a confession about Eun-ju’s crimes from him. Following this, the information is sent to reports around Jeju and it doesn’t take long for Eun-ju’s news to make headlines. Even the reporters outside KMO get the news and rush to catch hold of her.

However, Sam-dal begins getting messages of reassurance from the people who once blamed her which doesn’t make her feel as good as she had expected. This is because she is happier with the support she has gotten from the people who helped her hold her very first exhibition.

The reporter who followed her enters the exhibition and is stunned by the beauty captured by Sam-dal, and soon publishes a new article where he appreciates her work and hopes for her to return to the industry. Sam-dal begins reminiscing about her life in Seoul and takes out her camera when Sang-do appears and asks her to go on a walk.

The two begin talking about everything that happened and she thanks him for supporting her all these years by sending her flowers. Sang-so is surprised and Sam-dal gets suspicious about being his secret crush, however, Sang-do refuses the thought and hides his love forever. Elsewhere, Hae-dal asks her mother to let her be a haenyeo only to be rebuked and rejected.

Hae-dal complains about this to Jin-chan who tells her that it is normal for parents to stop their children from choosing the work that they are doing. The two then begin talking about Ha-yul and Jin-chan reveals that Ha-yul wants to be a swimmer like her. Hae-dal is stunned as she knows that her daughter is scared of the water and cannot swim.

She later confronts Ha-yul who tells her that she wants to fulfil the dream Hae-dal left behind because she had her. This makes Hae-dal tear up as she tells her that her love for Ha-yul is more than that for swimming and she hopes that Ha-yul chooses to do what she loves. Meanwhile, Jin-dal calls Dae-young for a drink and tells him to go back and take up his responsibilities as the president of AS company.

Dae-young is not ready to comply with her request and the two soon get drunk following which they end up spending the night together in Dae-young’s hotel. The next morning, they are shocked by what happened the previous night but when Jin-dal tries to leave, he asks her to just be two people who love each other.

On the other hand, Sam-dal finds out that it is Yong-pil’s dream to go to the WMO which has only a one per cent acceptance rate from all of South Korea. After her friends leave, she takes out the acceptance letter she found crumbled in Yong-pil’s van and calls him to meet her. She then tells him about everyone’s plan to go to Seoul to once again test their luck and asks him about his dream.

She then confronts him about the acceptance letter and tells him to go ahead with it as it is now her turn to support him. With this, Yong-pil accepts to fly out and soon two years pass by. Sam-dal has once again made a name for herself in the industry while Sang-do has successfully opened a branch in Seoul.

Meanwhile, Gyeong-tae has finally gotten into a relationship with Eun-bi after much effort and made a name for himself through his restaurant. Even Eun-u has become a successful cartoonist and has made a name for himself. Meanwhile, Jin-dal is back to work and is now training recruits.

Even Sang-tae and Pan-sik get together like old times for a drink every once in a while. Altogether, there is peace and happiness in Samdal-ri.

Welcome to Samdal-ri Episode 16 Ending

Back in Seoul, Sam-dal realises that there had been people supporting her during her bad days in Seoul when she meets actress Kim Tae-hee who has come as a replacement for a model upon her request. Sam-dal is finally at peace and is happy, however, only Yong-pil is missing from her life for now.

A Christmas miracle soon comes her way when Yong-pil shows up in front of her and the two finally reunite after years, and this time he is not leaving. However, it looks like the people at the headquarters of KMO aren’t as happy as Yong-pil has decided to show his resilience here too.

Finally, everything is at peace and Yong-pil and Sam-dal know that whenever they run out of breath, they have their small stream Samdal-ri waiting for them at all times.
