Strong Girl Nam-soon Episode 6 Recap and Review: The famous hit South Korean drama Strong Woman Do Bong-soon (힘쎈여자 도봉순) spin-off series Strong Girl Nam-soon (힘쎈여자 강남순) of the is directed by Kim Jung-Sik and written by Baek Mi-Kyeong. Starring Lee Yoo-mi, Kim Jung-eun, Kim Hae-sook, Ong Seong-wu and Byeon Woo-seok in the lead roles, the series will follow a young girl named Nam-soon and her immense strength being used for the good. The series is produced by JTBC and is distributed by Netflix.

The series takes up the story of Bong-soon’s sixth cousin, Kang Nam-soon (Lee Yoo-mi) who has similar strength to her cousin. After getting lost in Magnolia, Nam-soon returns to South Korea to find her family. She successfully finds her mother (Kim Jung-eun) and grandmother (Kim Hae-sook) but little does she know, the trio are in for a big treat.

Lee Yoo-mi made it big after her pivotal role in Squid Game (2021). She was last seen in All of Us Are Dead (2022). Kim Jung-eun’s last ventures are Missing: The Other Side (2020-2023) and DNA Mate (since 2022). Kim Hae-sook’s latest work was Revenant (2023). Speaking of Ong Seong-wu, he was last seen in the movie Starlight Falls (2023) while Byeon Woo-seok’s latest project was Soulmate (2023).

Strong Girl Nam-soon Episode 6 Recap

The episode starts with Nam-soon explaining about her ancestors’ strength and how they derived it. She also mentions how at the age of 22 the women in their family experience great power and it is at that time they have to find a mate/partner immediately. The scene cuts to Geum-ju revealing to Hee-sik that it was she who gave the intel about Doogo and the drug business. During their conversation, she believes he cares for Nam-soon and asks him whether he likes her daughter. She also tells him that Nam-soon has to consummate soon and that he might be a good match, making him shocked at her statement.

When Nam-soon meets Hwa-ja, she tells her that she and her mother forgave her but if she makes such a mistake once more, she won’t forgive again. This makes Hwa-ja pissed. Shi-o calls the logistics manager and offers him a promotion if he can observe Nam-soon and take videos of her. The manager notices Hwa-ja peaking in on Nam-soon and insults her. This furthermore irritates Hwa-ja.

Nam-in slowly loses his love for his mother as he believes she constantly puts him down for his weight. He spends most of his time with his father and wishes his parents get back together. Bong-go calls Nam-soon and they decide to have dinner together sometime. Meanwhile, Jun-hee and Joong-gan go on a date and spend their night together.

Geum-ju meets Song Bread again and calls him a scammer, making him furious. Meanwhile, Hee-sik’s superior Dong-suk becomes extremely thirsty and addicted to his drug. He requests Hee-sik to take him back to his home and not to the hospital as it might spoil his reputation. At home, Dong-suk becomes violent and starts attacking Hee-sik. He shows extreme strength. Thankfully, Nam-soon barges and saves Hee-sik from Dong-suk.

Nam-soon promises that she will find every possible white-like matter from the Doogo warehouse and assist Hee-sik in solving the case. Ryu Shi-o makes a deal with other Heritage Club members to extend his company to international heights. Geum-ju gets an appointment, a game of cards fixed with Shi-o as she wants to get closer to him to unravel the truth. That night, Nam-soon and her two friends Hyun-soo and No, go to the warehouse to get the items. Initially, they get caught by the logistics manager but somehow they escape. However the next day, the manager finds a video of Nam-soon leaving with some items on her back.

At the lab, Shi-o is told by the scientist that the drug can harm one but if they take the sea hare blood they will be cured. We learn that the blue substance that Shi-o drinks is sea hare blood. He attacks and makes his assistant’s face unrecognisable as the police have found him. Hee-sik leaves Dong-suk alone at his home after cutting down all water supplies, believing his superior will control his urges. However, he loses control and searches for water finally finding it inside the toilet.

When Geum-ju confronts her mother about her dating life, the latter says that after working as a businesswoman, Geum-ju’s heart has turned into plastic. During lunch, Nam-in gets mad at his mother and says that he wishes to move out with his father as his mother only loves Nam-soon. At his cafe, he sees a beautiful woman and gets upset that his body has been making him look like a weird chap. He takes the tiny tablet that the strange woman gave him.

At the appointment, Geum-ju meets Shi-o. Meanwhile, back in the Doogo warehouse, Hee-sik joins Nam-soon to assist her in searching for evidence. Hwa-ja sees Nam-soon standing alone and takes the opportunity to stab her. Hee-sik rushes to save Nam-soon but it becomes too late.

Strong Girl Nam-soon Episode 6 Review

I think Shi-o is going to be the second lead because he is surely head over heels for Nam-soon. The way he looks at her videos and feels excited shows that he wants to win her to feed his pride. Hee-sik and Nam-soon are in love already from the looks of how they’re flirting and protecting each other all the time. They just haven’t told it out loud. Geum-ju is putting herself in risky areas to find the truth, relying on her strength but it shows that she is awaiting some big danger.

Joong-gan is living her life which will be disturbed when her husband comes. Dong-suk’s condition is getting worse and he will likely die or get extremely violent due to the drug. Now that Nam-in has consumed a suspicious tablet, he will become a concern for all those around him. Hwa-ja has successfully made her big move but we’re still unsure whether she stabbed or simply put an act to threaten Nam-soon.
