The next day, Yeolson creates havoc in the city by climbing up a wall and asking for Tanya to be released.

As he threatens the people of the Iron Age ahead which depends on his knowledge, he tries to save Tanya at all costs. However, Tagon doesn’t care for his threats and while he shows the face of a king who cares to try to get him down, he changes right when Yeolson holds his hand. She confronts Tagon about this and finds out that he plans to take all of Arthdal down with him while making her leave with Arok. She tries to stop him from doing this but Tagon’s obsession with Arthdal can never end, leaving him unable to ever give up on the city.

Taealha is aware of his struggles to come back to this place and everything he did for the people in the city and lets him do what he wants to. While the two discuss the Bichwisan, the Momo tribe arrives at the shores of Arthdal and begins attacking the soldiers and their Xabara Karika leads them through.

However, before they can enter the city, Yeonbal sets a fire on their way and makes them stop following which a rain of arrows makes the Momo tribe retreat. Right then Nunbyeol arrives with the two Neanthals and opens up the way for the Momo tribe. They then head on to open the door for the Ago tribe who move on to take over Arthdal and save Tanya.

At the city wall, Mungtae sees Saya coming to him and thinking that he is Eunseom, he passes on the same message to him.

Saya then tells him to relay the message to Eunseom and also that he will be going to save Tanya first, after which he takes the armour of an Ago soldier and leaves to save Tanya. Yangcha too tries to block Tagon’s way but fails as Tanya once again saves his life.

Tango then takes Tanya to the temple where he shows her that the pool created by the Hae tribe which is connected to all the wells in Arthdal is now filled with Bichwisan. Upon his signal, the soldier there will pour the last jar of the poison into the pool which will open the doors for it to be spread all across the city.

Tagon hands over a dagger for him to kill himself to save Tanya but Saya opens the bag and brings out an unconscious Arok which infuriates Tagon. Elsewhere, Saya too gets the news of Tanya jumping into the Bichwisan and wants to rush to her when the Neanthals from Irkebaek arrive and make him unconscious. They then take him away to fulfil a promise of the past.

Taealha arrives right then and promises the antidote for the poison in exchange for a safe way for her and Arok to leave Arthdal. Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 Episode 12 Review

The story revolving around the sword of Aramun now comes to an end but this doesn’t end the story of Arthdal itself. Arthdal Chronicles season 2 finale brought the finale of this season and it has definitely been well worth the long wait fans of the show have done. This episode has brought the ups and downs a final episode deserves which only proves how amazing the show really is.

Coming to this episode, there is no doubt that we will be missing Tagon who proved that he was not a completely lost case in the end. While he was definitely crazy enough to make sure that no side wins in the end. A really good schemer is who he was and a character that will be remembered for a long time.

Meanwhile, Eunseom and Tanya have finally got the ending they deserved and even while they have hidden danger ready to come to them, they have finally got a chance to make up for all the time they missed. Eunseom is now the one with the crown, but from the looks of Saya and Taealha, the situation can change at any time.

Finally, the story is definitely not over and with an exciting ending to this season, I hope Arthdal Chronicles soon returns once again.
